Hi, I've installed LiveWare 3.0, but I've got a problem that I hope someone can help me fix. I use sound font banks to create my music. I usually have about 5 banks loaded at one time. I can load the banks in Audio HQ, but here's my problem: when I restart the computer for any reason, the fonts I previously loaded aren't loaded into memory. Instead, the 4MB General MIDI sound font bank is always loaded at boot-up time. Also, I've adjusted the slider for the amount of memory allocated to 100%, but when the computer restarts for any reason, it's set at about 51%. Is there any way I can get rid of this problem? I hate reloading all my sound fonts every time I start the computer. Thanks. True, but also, every time you load a soundfont, its name is written to the registry so it can be loaded again next time you boot. There's a very simple way to check your registry : in your start menu, select "Run..." and type "regedit" (w/out the quotes) into the box that appears. The registry editor starts up. In the "Edit" menu, select "Find..." and type ".sf2" in the box that appears. Hit "Enter". You will find a few things containing ".sf2", hit F3 until you find a list of names of sf2 files in a folder called "Creative [something]". Normally, you should find the list of the last SFs you had loaded. If not then you have a problem when the list is written to the registry. If you do find the list then your problem is when the SFs are supposed to be loaded. Once again, it could be because those soundfonts are stored on a CD. They have to be available at boot time.
